Hi! I’m Dan McDonald filmmaker and owner of “Dreamlight Wedding Films”. I’m a wedding, event & videographer with locations in Hopedale MA, and Cape Cod. I’ve been filming events for over 15 years covering locations all over New England from beaches to mountain tops from cityscapes to the islands and even on boats! Seeing all the unique and wondrous locations this great area has to offer, is what keeps me wanting to tell amazing stories with the couples I meet.

When I’m not filming I enjoying family life by spending summers on the Cape biking, hiking & golfing, running races, traveling and also doing photography along the way!

I graduated from the UMASS Amherst with a B.A. in film & television, moved out to Los Angeles and worked in the entertainment industry for over 15 years as an associate producer working on films and tv shows!  As fun as L.A. was, my wife, son and I moved back to New England to be with my friends & family and enjoy the New England lifestyle. Everything I learned in L.A. was wonderful and I brought the knowledge of story telling back with me and started my own production company to help create unique stories with the new people I meet every wedding seasson.

Since, I’ve have the pleasure of filming hundreds of couples on one of the most important days of their lives -  their “wedding day”, I love the people factor of what I do. My truest delight comes when I deliver beautiful wedding films to my clients -  my goal is to create their favorite of all time - their wedding day!
