Let’s be real, what is wedding filmmaking all about really, it’s so confusing? Cameras, lenses, lights, gimbals, lavalier mics, even drones - help me, it’s a lot!
Because at the end of the day, equipment doesn’t tell stories — people do. The laughter, the nerves, the excitement, the energy of the day unfolding naturally… that’s what truly matters and that’s what must be captured in that exact moment.
That’s why I created Dreamlight Wedding Films — to tell real love stories, NOT just film weddings.

We break away from the traditional documentary "wedding video" style as film and edit in a cinematic story telling style to create a "Wedding Film" of your day. What that means is we're using mirrorless cameras and pairing the best lens choice for specific shots, just like your photographer would use, only we shoot video. Along with our tripod and monopods we are also using the newest cinematic tools available such as Gimbals and Drones to capture the most elegant and unique shots as possible.

They say no one notices good audio but EVERYONE notices bad audio! That's very true and bad audio really hurts your film watching experience. We use a variety of tools and state of the art audio gear to get the best quality sound possible . Here is our set up :
CEREMONY:
*2 Lavalier mics (1) Groom and (1) Officiant
* DAR (Digital Audio Recorder) for readings Zoom F6
* DAR (Digital Audio Recorder) For other singers or musicians as needed Zoom F3
RECEPTION:
*Wireless Mic for Recording Speeches
*DAR (Digital Audio Recorder) for speeches
* Direct Feed from DJ if available -
or the ceremony we never use lighting. For the reception we only use lighting as needed to keep the ambience of the event. We do use light for the the speeches, and 1st Dance and Parent Dances to add a really nice look to the event. We use a Practilite 602 which is used as a spot light to focus on event.

We specialize in “Full Length Films ” that run approximately. 45 - 60 minutes in length. We also create 1:00 Social Media Teasers and 3-4 Highlight Films. Here is what we like to include during your wedding day:

Depending on the time of year and how many weddings we have filmed right before your wedding the turn around time is 8 to 12 weeks. The editing is a very important step in creating an amazing wedding film and it includes multi camera angles, color grading and audio editing and music editing.

We know you have a list of formal photography shots you need to get done and time is always a challenge , we work with the photographers so we can all manage the time so everyone can get their shots.

Dan and his team were fabulous. He is extremely organized and detail oriented which provided us with ease leading up to our wedding day.
